Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP), GO PARK SAI SHA is set to redefine urban living in Hong Kong. This mega-integrated development project not only includes residential spaces but also features an expansive outdoor sports facility and an integrated sports and commercial complex, spanning approximately 300,000 square feet. As the first project of its kind by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) in Asia, GO PARK SAI SHA is poised to become an iconic destination for sports, retail, and entertainment.
Designed by the internationally renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, SPORTS PARK SAI SHA is a testament to architectural brilliance and innovation. The design is anchored in the concepts of “Fabric Landscape” and “Lifted Village”. These principles not only ensure a seamless integration with the natural beauty of Sai Sha but also create a multi-level experience that offers panoramic views and a symbiosis with the surrounding landscape.
The architecture features fluid curves and bold geometric aesthetics, which are signature elements of Zaha Hadid’s design philosophy. The complex is designed to be a multi-layered landscape, providing vast open spaces that serve multiple functions — from sports arenas and dining areas to cultural and relaxation zones.
Strategically located between Wu Kai Sha and Sai Kung Town Centre, GO PARK SAI SHA effectively bridges the urban and natural worlds. It is conveniently accessible via a 4-minute drive from Wu Kai Sha MTR station on the Tuen Ma Line, and an 8-minute drive from University MTR station on the East Rail Line. The addition of multiple bus and minibus routes will enhance connectivity, making the complex a hub for residents and tourists alike.
Encompassing over 1,000,000, SPORTS PARK SAI SHA offers a comprehensive range of sports facilities that will be available to the public, including the only golf driving range in Hong Kong equipped with Trackman Radar Technology, exclusive dedicated pickleball courts, and a multi-purpose running and cycling track designed for high-level events like duathlons and professional road criterium races. Additionally, it boasts 5 padel courts, a lacrosse field, 6 ITF-standard tennis courts, a football pitch, three 3×3 basketball courts, and a roller skating area. Adjacent GO PARK SAI SHA complements these with a 25m indoor temperature-controlled swimming pool, a multi-purpose arena seating 1,500 for sports and cultural events, an outdoor sports climbing wall, and a 24-hour fitness center. To enhance the experience, SPORTS PARK SAI SHA will also host SPORTS PARK BISTRO, a restaurant featuring a healthy menu designed by nutritionists, alongside an array of food and beverage options for athletes, individuals, and families. The facility ensures inclusivity with barrier-free access for people with disabilities, making it a comprehensive venue for sports and wellness.
The initial phase of the project, encompassing around 200,000 square feet, is anticipated to reach completion by the second quarter of 2024.
We love all of Zaha Hadid Architects' projects - they blend so seamlessly with the surrounding environment. We can't wait to see what's in store!
