Visiting The Flagstaff House Museum Of Tea Ware In Hong Kong Park

Learn + Play + Taste

The Flagstaff House Museum Of Tea Ware

After a good run around Hong Kong Park, slow down and cool off at the beautiful Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware! Located in the oldest colonial building in Hong Kong, this quaint tea museum has plenty to see and do for parents and kids alike…and it’s free!

The museum focuses on the history of tea making and drinking across Chinese regions and dynasties. While older kids will explore the galleries with you, younger kids will want to spend their time in the museum’s sweet playroom. It’s full of books, wooden tea-themed toys, cool computer programs like Design a Teapot…even architectural blocks that form the teahouse itself! If you plan to go on a weekend, check the museum’s website for a schedule of free tea demonstrations, tastings, and historical story-telling.

Make sure to hit the gift shop on your way out. It’s the perfect place to buy high-quality tea and reasonably-priced, beautiful tea sets.
