Hot off the press! Dino Park, the huge new dinosaur-themed playground set in New Town Plaza in Sha Tin is now open! Dino Park features 35,000 square feet of obstacle courses, slides, and ropes for kids ages 2 to 12 to enjoy!
Dino Park has 14 fun-filled and colorful attractions, including a huge 26-meter dinosaur that children can climb thanks to rope nets, slides, swings, trampolines, climbing frames, and balancing beams all designed to help support children’s development and gross motor skills.
At the entrance of the Dino Park playground, stands the Tyrannosaurus Adventure towering at 7 meters tall and 26 meters long: little explorers can climb inside the T-Rex’s impressive mouth for a climbing adventure, then cross the high-rope bridge and choose to glide down three thrilling swirly slides. They can then move on to challenge their balancing skills and hand-eye coordination on the climbing nets, hammocks, and balancing beams.
At the back of the park, lies a smaller dino structure designed for toddlers where they can jump to their hearts’ content on the mini trampolines, explore tunnels, and challenge themselves on the climbing wall and slides.
Older kids (ages 5-12) are not forgotten thanks to the 23-meter dino zipline – where kids can enjoy the speed and exhilaration of “flying” at a 4-meter height!
Entrance to the Dino Park is free and no booking is required. Just turn up and make a day of it, the kids will be thrilled!
Opening hours: 7am – 10pm
Dino Park is a really beautiful outdoor playground, painted with vivid colors and modern climbing structures and play equipment.
Kids aged 2 to 12!
There are a few shaded areas and benches where you can park the strollers and watch the kids play. Don't forget to pack hats, refillable water bottles (there are free water dispensing machines there) as well as loads of sunscreen! It can get quite warm and sunny on the rooftop.
There are lots of dining options at New Town Plaza, from Asian delicacies like Peking Garden as well as Western ones like Pici, Pizza Express and Shake Shack. Stop by Venchi after for their delectable soft-serve or gelato!
